Frederick Walter Ollis Street-Porter was born on 22nd March 1908 in Fort William, Ontario, Canada (British by parentage) in 1908, the son of Stanley and Mary Eveline STREET (née OLLIS).


1911 census... he was 3, living at Coveney Manor, Isle of Ely with his father Stanley STREET [35] a farmer born in Somersham, Hunts, his mother Mary Eveline [29] born near Mold (Holywell, Flintshire) and his sister Margaret Emma Clay STREET [9 months] born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Probate records show his address as The Old Rectory, Kennett and his effects to Stanley Street-Porter (poultry breeder).
A family tree on Ancestry gives his mother as Mary Eveline OLLIS and his father as Stanley STREET.
In 1939 the family were in Station Road, Kennett - Walter, a poultry farmer; father [1-11-1875] a poultry farmer; mother [30-10-1881]; brother Edward C [15-10-1913] an insurance broker; sister in law Marjorie C [4-4-1913] and sister Lorna M [2-9-1915]. One closed record.


114 Squadron was part of Bomber Command stationed in January 1942 at West Raynham. Frederick was in Bristol Blenheim IV, serial no. V6391 c/sign RT-V when, at 17:35, they crashed in the sea off Schiermonnikoog, Netherlands. The pilot was Flt/Lt Basil John Adams, Royal Australian Air Force and the third crew member was Sgt Joseph Willis (RAF). Whether Frederick was the navigator/bomb aimer or the wireless operator/gunner is not known
